You have worked non-stop for what seems like, forever, you revised, attended extra lessons and lost sleep. But, you haven't got the grade you need for your chosen college course. Firstly, don't beat yourself up about it, there are many other options out there for you. This is not the final chance, you have not blown it. You can try again. Remember, It is not the end of the world.
Here are some things for you to think about or try.
1, Ask for your paper to be remarked. If you are a few marks off your grade you can ask for your paper to be remarked, this usually involves a cost, however, you will be refunded if they find discrepancies in your marks. This needs to be done through your school.
2, Think through other options that may be suitable for you. Why not have a change of direction? Look online and at the college prospectus or phone to speak to the help desk, there could be a list of possibilities that you hadn't even thought about.
3, Re-sit. You can retake your paper at college, most retakes are in December or January, so you have plenty of time to revise and get additional support from a teacher or a private tutor.
4, Look at other colleges. You may be able to get a place at a different college with the grades that you have already achieved.
